Bristol 1984.  Despite the lack of northern drivers making the trip, the 1984 F2 GN Championship is an action packed race. Race favourites Mike James and Kevin Stack take each other out immediately in the  rush for the first corner, leaving Malcolm Locke with a big early lead. However, he is reeled in by a fast moving Dave Bunt, and for a couple of laps, hits are exchanged in some close and fast racing. In the fight for third, Gary Samson ends up at a right angle to the fence, causing the starter to leap from his rostrum! The action in the main race is typical of the rest of the meeting...

Skegness 1984. Typical Skeggy action for this late 1984 meeting. Familiar 80s names such as Martin Lamb, Ian King and a pre-Skoal Bandits big winged Russell Taylor join other notable drivers like MarkTaylor and Andy Ford (with a white roof - is this the same Andy Ford???)... The final is gridded by meeting points, rather than grades for the Avon Supernational race, and gives a suprising winner.

Aycliffe 1987. If you've seen DVD 4, you'll know what to expect! A low turn out doesn't mean there's anything lacking in the action as drivers struggle to master the tight and tricky oval. Russell Taylor dominates in the F2s, while the F1s provide superb stock car racing throughout the meeting with the likes of Frankie Wainman, John Lund, Joe Joplin and Richard Ainsworth.

The DVD runs for around 1 hour 55 minutes and costs just £6...

Quality: These DVDs have been sourced from VHS tapes of an analogue cable television channel which are around 20 years old. The picture and sound quality is as good as possible, given this. There are no major tracking problems. Any issues concerning quality or incomplete programmes will be made clear in the 'QUALITY ISSUES HIGHLIGHT' section above.

Copyright: I have contacted the last known copyright holders of this material a number of times by email and in writing to explore making the whole library available from master tapes. There has been no reply as yet. I would love to see the whole library (1984 to 1987) made available, but it seems unlikely at this time.
