1986 BriSCA F1 World Final Meeting from Coventry. Full coverage of every race of the 1986 World Final meeting with extended coverage of the World Final itself (including some excellent interviews with the likes of Stuart Smith and Frankie Wainman - Before we had to call either of them 'Senior'!)... This is possibly one of the most exciting World Final races I have ever been to. The atmosphere was absolutely electric, and it got to the point where, after a couple of laps where leader after leader dropped out, no one knew who was leading. The coverage misses Smithy getting caught out by a fence rebounding Russell Joblin, but you can definitely here the cheers as his quest for a record breaking 4th World Championship in a row comes to an end... Seconds later the cameras do catch the chaos as Frankie gets taken out and Nigel Whorton gets caught up in it all. As the laps close in, a huge dive from Dave Mellor takes second placed Friedhelm Welters deep into the fence. Plus 1987 F1 'Screensport Superstars' Meeting from Mildenhall. The meeting at Mildenhall the following year shows bumpers going in hard right through the meeting with the kind of action you would expect from the tight shale oval. Keep an eye out for the very brave Screensport cameraman just past the startline! Also includes an interview with a very laid back John Lund... This DVD runs for almost 2 hours and costs just £6 including P&P |
